A happy marriage is one of the problems couples face: everything changes from year to year, but there will always be love for each other. A person at the wedding and one of God’s promises will always be together.

Maybe you have a grandmother with her grandfather, or you know someone who has been married for a long time. Raymond and Velva Breyer have been married for more than 77 years. Unlike other couples, death did not end their love for each other. When they were buried in the same grave, they were close to each other.

Raymond and Velva were childhood lovers. They went to school and even had classmates in the village of Dawson in Phelps. They both attended the same school. They were married in 1940.

Raymond worked at the Ford Motor Company in Missouri, but retired and moved to North Carolina. Raymond served as Minister for a long time, and later became a volunteer firefighter in North Carolina. He was a college teacher and never forgot to serve the community.

Raymond died first, holding Velva in his arms. Velva’s heart ached, and the best part is that she cried on her last breath and died after her husband’s death. The couple died with an interval of several hours, so they were both placed in the same coffin.
