It all began, according to Elton John, more than 20 years ago, when Michael began to exhibit signs of mental illness. He didn’t act properly, he was on various medicines, and his conduct was odd.

“God only knows what was going on in his head and what medicine he was on, but every time I’ve seen him in recent years, I’ve thought to myself, ‘Poor thing, he’s gone insane.’ I’m not stating it in a lyrical way. “He was severely mentally sick, and you wouldn’t want to sit next to him,” Elton John explains.

The saddest part is that Michel Jackson refused to accept assistance from those who were close to him. Any attempt to get him back on track was a failure since he had his own ideas that he couldn’t deny.

“You couldn’t assist him,” the artist added, “no matter how unhappy he was: he was lost in his world, surrounded by people who only told him what he wanted to hear.”
