Jared’s wife died, but just months after the death of his beloved life partner, he had the power to set things right again. On this occasion, she also looked at her laptop, which has remained untouched the whole time. When he saw this, he shuddered.

Shari left some video clips on the computer she made for her child. In the videos, she told the younger stories and sang to him.

Watching these videos has remained a ritual for the two who stayed behind. Almost every night, Jared and his son look at the photos Shari left behind and remember how much they love her.

Jared Bohanan Decker, 33, and Shari Bohanan Decker, 29, have been married for nearly a decade. Sherry died four months ago during childbirth from an amniotic fluid embolism, a rare condition in which the fluid surrounding the baby during pregnancy leaks into the mother’s bloodstream.

The doctors performed a cesarean section for Shari during the emergency delivery and were able to deliver the baby successfully.

“What we thought were the best days of our lives have turned out to be the worst,” said Bohnnan Decker.

Bohanan Decker said he went through the things Sherry left behind since her death and that one of the buried treasures is her voice recordings — songs she wrote years ago.

“These songs were in a format that I can’t convert,” Bohanan explained to Decker. So I turned to Reddit for help.

Hundreds of people from across the country responded within hours, saying they would sort it out.

“I remember one of the first times a man said, ‘I’ll do this in an hour,'” said Bohanan Decker.

He is now rocking his little baby c. He sleeps practically every night and listens to his mother sing to him.
