A waitress in Australia who ‘deceived’ herself by not identifying pop singer Katy Perry has received a large tip from Perry after she ‘fooled’ the waiter.

Indiana Ball was working as a waitress for Katy Perry when she was visiting a coffee shop in Port Douglas on June 18 while her partner Orlando Bloom was filming a film in far north Queensland. Perry is now in Australia enjoying her time away from the spotlight while Bloom works on the film.

Perry, like many famous individuals do when they are seen in public, attempted to hide her identity by donning a hat and sunglasses; nevertheless, this did not prevent many of the patrons of the cafe from recognizing her. Those other folks did not include Paull, which is a great shame.

Perry, who was standing in the restaurant with her daughter Daisy Dove, who was one year old, was informed by the waiter that she would need to wait to be seated since there were no tables available.

 

Paull stated to Sunrise that the singer “managed it like any normal person would,” despite the fact that Perry is probably accustomed to receiving a little bit of special treatment.

 

“Throughout it all, she maintained an incredibly pleasant demeanor, and she dealt with everything like a true champion. Paull remarked, “I think part of the reason she was so simply so easy and chill about it was because I didn’t recognize her.” “I think that was the reason.”

 

After Perry approached Paull for a second time, the waitress reluctantly sat the celebrity in an area of the café that is not typically frequented by customers.

She reflected on the incident and remarked, “I made a fool out of myself and said, ‘for future reference, we don’t generally seat people in this table.’”

 

It is alleged that Perry made a promise to the server that she would be “particularly sweet,” and it wasn’t until the manager of Paull’s restaurant informed her who the customer was that the waitress “got red and went floppy at the knees.”

 

Paull explained, “I probably didn’t need to, but I felt like a fool, so I went over to her table and apologized.” “I probably shouldn’t have,” Paull said. “I don’t know why, but I just felt astonished that I had acted like she was a casual Joe Blow!” “I have no idea why, but I just felt shocked!”

 

Paull stated that it was likely the case that Perry was in such a rush to get a seat because “people were running around snapping photos of her,” but the waitress was “so ignorant” and “had no notion” as to what was actually taking place.

 

After Paull’s first state of shame, the waitress commented that she “couldn’t believe how polite” the singer was and that the singer had left a tip that was “far more than the normal $2.”

 

“As she was leaving, she strolled around the café, gave me a hug, and was simply incredibly polite to everyone she encountered. First, she asked for my name and then we had a conversation with each other. Paull described the situation as “insane.”

 

Paull further confirmed that additional claims that she had a “fight” with Perry were false and that the story had been “blown up” out of proportion. Paull stated that she believed the story had been blown out of proportion.
