n the act of “devotion and love,” a Virginia father who accidentally left his toddler in the back seat of a hot car and then killed himself did so, according to his family.
On the same day his 18-month-old son Anderson died after being left in a car, Aaron Beck, 37, committed suicide by shooting himself. The sad event took place in Chesterfield, Virginia, on June 28.
The devastated father “sacrificed his life to his son in the act of tremendous devotion and love,” according to Aaron’s troubled family.

According to reports, when police arrived at Aaron’s house, they discovered the child’s car seat was empty, and the car was parked in the driveway with the rear door still open.
Then, Little Anderson was discovered dead inside the home, and Aaron was located in a forested area behind his house, having committed suicide by shooting himself.
Anderson was characterized as an “intelligent little kid” who “brought his family together and was profoundly loved by his parents and surrounding relatives,” according to the New York Post, in an obituary written jointly by the father and son.

His obituary described Aaron as “Generous, gentle, kind, and soft with his son. He was a draughtsman by trade. His unconditional affection was a tribute to the potential of parenting and the human heart.

To date, more than $7,000 has been gathered via a GoFundMe page to assist Aaron and Anderson’s loved ones with funeral costs.
It says: “Tuesday morning, a father and child were suddenly taken from my dear buddy in a tragedy. This cannot be thoroughly planned, even while some expenses are covered. To relieve some of her financial strain, this GoFundMe has been established. I sincerely appreciate your support during this unfathomable loss.
“This is a horrific tragedy on so many levels, and our hearts go out to the family and friends who will have to deal with this,” Chesterfield County Officer Chris Hensley told the media.
But it would not be prudent of us to pass up the chance to make people aware of how crucial it is to examine their automobiles.
