One of the most beautiful goals in life is to raise a child. Having a child is a real miracle, a blessing that brings great joy and satisfaction, but the amount of responsibility and sacrifice is the same. If we want to balance the two, joy and contentment will outweigh. Parents know very well how much gratitude a child feels when they see a happy child.

Adoption is a very honest sign of love. However, there are many children who, despite the immense love and care they receive, have great difficulty bonding with their adoptive parents because of past trauma and fear of abandonment. Let’s get to know the story of Julia, the young girl with a great story mainly about second chances. About ambition and perseverance. Keeping a promise to someone who has reason to fear a second chance.

The parents we will be talking about have made many attempts to realize their dream of having a child. Tina and Rick Traster have both spent years trying to have children, trying special treatments and exercises, and changing their lives, but… they couldn’t. They thought about adopting a child and were very excited about this option as they believed it would give the child another chance. In the end, the two managed to adopt an 8-month-old baby from Siberia.

The happiness they felt was nothing compared to anything they had experienced until the day they held the little boy in their hands. Little Julia was warmly welcomed into her new family with much love and care. Time passed and the mother did not notice that the girl was hesitating and showing no signs of emotional attachment, often avoiding and unresponsive to eye contact.

Tina became more and more concerned about this when she fell into a very severe depression and thought she was not fit to be a mother. Seeing no change in Julia, Tina and Rick took the boy to a pediatrician for a checkup. Apparently it wasn’t the parents’ fault, nor the little girl’s fault. The previous parents were guilty. Little Julia had reactive attachment disorder and was unable to approach new families for fear of being abandoned again.

When they understood the cause of the problem, the parents were somewhat relieved and started to try harder by showing the little one more love, affection and patience. Eventually she got closer and closer to the two.

Tina has also written a book called Saving Julia Twice, in which she explains the journey the three have taken to achieve results. At the moment, Julia has changed and likes to play the violin, watch movies and spend time with her beloved parents. The photos accompanying the article show the progress. Ambition and determination with patience and vision can make dreams come true! Share if you agree!
