Victoya Venice was on a business trip to Georgia when she got the shock of her life. A Louisiana woman welcomed her second child, Rocky Andrew, on Friday after giving birth at her hotel. Her son’s arrival came as a complete surprise as doctors predicted his due date would be May 15, according to NBC affiliate WXIA-TV. Naturally, he didn’t expect it to come so soon. When the conversation started, Venice initially thought she had the same stomach problem as her 4-year-old daughter.

But when he used the bathroom in the hotel, he realized that it was something else entirely. “My daughter and I just came home from urgent care. And he had trouble in his stomach. By the time I realized it was a baby and not nausea, it was too late,” he said.

“I turned around and it was the baby,” the mother recalled during an interview with FOX station WAGA-TV. Even her doctors were surprised when she told them about the birth of her child. “They actually thought my due date was May 15 because I was young. So it’s kind of their conflict. They thought I was not there,” he explained. Fortunately, mother and baby, who arrived at 37 weeks, are doing well so far. “I love him so much. It was a crazy experience,” he admitted. That being said, the photographer and social media mogul is relishing the once-in-a-lifetime experience, as his son’s birth certificate honors the way not the culture from which he entered the world. “[I’m listed] as a doctor,” she said, adding that “her place of birth would say Extended Stay America,” which was the hotel she was at when she gave birth.

The single mother revealed that she had considered putting Rocky up for adoption, but that changed shortly after he was born. “I feel like I’m in contact with him. No, you are mine, I will take care of you. If I can give birth to you myself, I think I can take care of you,” said the strong mother.

Currently, Venice is staying at her hotel as she continues to look for a place to rent in Georgia. “They’re letting me out of my rental house in Louisiana, that’s a plus. I’m in no condition to travel with a newborn who’s only 4 pounds,” he shared. Due to its work-from-home status, Venice can easily reschedule. “I’m happy to work with clients who understand and let me take a few days for myself,” he said.
