A dead swan was found to have fallen on an empty nest with no apparent injury other than a broken heart

Wildlife activists in London recently discovered a dead swan after its teenagers broke its eggs.

They believe she died of a “broken heart” when she was found over her empty nest where eggs were broken a month ago.

The unborn animals were destroyed by vandals who broke their nests with bricks and stones.

Environmental activists saw the boys throw stones from a Manchester canal onto the island where their eggs were laid. The boys only managed to knock down half of the eggs, while the other two mysteriously disappeared, leaving her with only one.

Two weeks after her eggs died, the husband flew “into the serf” and has not been seen since.

It is believed that the swan’s male was molested by another duck and a swamp hen.

According to Swan Sanctuary, when a companion disappears or is killed, the surviving partner goes through a process of grieving like humans and then finds a new piece of water to live in or fly in and join a herd.

“It is possible she died of a broken heart because she had a partner for life and the stress pushed him away,” said wildlife activist Sam Woodrow.

Michael Mason – another activist who posted updates on the swan on Facebook – was shocked when he said, “I really don’t want to do this post today because it’s so sad.

“Her companion left her alone and unfortunately she was informed this morning that she was found dead in her nest. I just feel like crying.”

“We are investigating the previous painful incident and are asking anyone with information to turn to our appeals body,” the authorities said.
