Parenthood is undoubtedly a challenging task, even though it can also be fulfilling and delightful.
Every parent has their distinct approach to parenting, and sometimes parents do not discipline their children when it is necessary.
A Reddit user recounted a situation he encountered while queuing at Burger King involving a mother and her child. While waiting in line, he noticed that it was moving much slower than usual, but he only realized why when he reached the register and discovered that they had only one trainee on cash during the lunch hour rush.
Waiting in line longer than expected was frustrating, but what made matters worse for this man was when a mother and her unruly child joined the line right behind him. According to him, “It was a very long line, and I was waiting patiently at the end of it when this woman talking on her phone with a little monster of a child came up behind me. This child was out of control, screaming, hitting his mother, and throwing his gameboy around whenever something in the game didn’t go well. Despite his constant yelling of “I want a Fucking PIE,” the mother appeared unconcerned and paid him no attention.”
At one point, the man even turned around to ask the mother to “please calm or quiet her child down.” The mother did not respond well to his unwanted parenting advice. He wrote, “Immediately she gets up in my face telling me I can’t tell her nothing about raising her child and to mind my own business.”

The man realized that he was going to be stuck in line with this mother and child until after he got his order, so he didn’t talk to them again. Instead, he came up with a way to get back at both of them.
Meanwhile, he explained that the mother comforted her child “calling him sweety and ensuring they’ll get pies for lunch because she loves him so much.”
After the man ordered and left with his meal, he listened in as the mother tried to place her order at the register. She wanted to get her son pie, but they were all out. He heard her yell, “What do you mean you don’t have any pies left, who bought them all?”
The man had bought every single pie at Burger King just because he knew that’s what her child wanted for lunch. It turned out to be 23 pies, and when the mother looked back at him walking out the door, he pulled “out a pie and slowly start eating eat.”
Some Reddit users thought the man lied about the situation and that he wouldn’t have actually bought all the pies or wouldn’t have dared to actually take a bite of one of the pies in front of the mother. Other Reddit users believe this story is completely true and that they have wanted to do the same thing at times but couldn’t afford to waste so much money on pie.
Do you think this story is true? Have you ever wanted to buy all of something at a fast food place to get back at someone else? Do you think what the man in this story did was wrong? If you were the mom in this story, would you have done anything differently?
